Hummus & Tomato Sandwich- with a side of potato chips :)

The other day all I wanted was cheese and potato chips…I know. Weird combo and totally not the healthiest LOL. But saying no to my cravings never gets me anywhere, so I decided to add some cheddar cheese to a healthy sandwich, treat myself to a small handful of chips, and add in a handful of baby carrots. And guess what! It worked.. I felt satisfied and full, but not bloated and greasy, like I probably would have if I just ate chips and cheese 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of whole grain/multi-grain toast
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese cut in half
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • roasted red pepper hummus
  • handful of salt and pepper chips
  • handful of baby carrots

Like I always say, being healthy is about balance. Sometimes you have to eat what you crave and nourish your soul. But never forget to add in those veggies to fuel your body!
